December Days 1

A watercolour of a street in Halifax by my brother, Roger Burnett, painted thirty years ago. Part of the old Halifax Building Society headquarters and the dome of Lloyds Bank are clearly visible.
A Victorian Cabinet Card from the London studio of Walter Saunders who was active in the last decade of the nineteenth century. It appears to be signed by the sitter “Agituroz”
An illustration from the Illustrated Police News of 1st December 1921 proving that the media’s fascination with crime is nothing new.

December starts with 3 very different images on my Desktop Calendar. The first is a watercolour by my brother, Roger Burnett, the second a fine Victorian portrait from a London Studio. and the third is from the Illustrated Police News of 100 years ago.
