That Look

Some years ago I bought a job lot of 1930s film stills. These were the photographs that were used to publicise movies, displayed outside picture houses throughout the world. This particular photograph shows the actress Arline Judge in a role from the 1936 film “Valiant is The Word For Carrie”. The film was less than memorable, the photograph, that look, is unforgetable.
