Goodness gracious, look at all those people! Are they all moving from one place to another? Not just standing around? Not listening to some speaker to a crowd? How could motorized traffic make any headway!
I assume it was just a normal weekend crowd of shoppers – back in the days when you had to go to the city centre to buy your purchases rather than the out-of-town shopping malls or the internet.
